Kids on Hay BailsCall 1-800-790-2665 or email now to schedule your spring field trip in May, and fall field trip during Sept 16 to Oct. 31, 2008. You have a choice for a two hour time slot on Tuesdays through Fridays (rain dates on Mondays), between 9 am to 2 pm for your tour and activities. During the fall, you can stay longer for a lunch period and to do the farm's extra activities. Please have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd day and time choice when you contact us.

We cater to your group needs with our program on the American bison and Kansas agriculture, and gear it to the age of the class or group.

Kids at the Pumpkin Sling ShotOur educational programs can help teachers meet State Curriculum Objectives, and are excellent if your class is studying units on Kansas history, agriculture, or Plains Indian culture. Scout programs can earn a special maze badge too.

Fall school programs only available at Smoky Hill Bison

Besides the buffalo trip, your class gets the bonus of going through the maze and pumpkin patch in the fall. We’re part of the The MAiZE Family which has customized ag-in-the-classroom lesson plans and activity sheets for teachers, and a "passport" that integrates education into the maze experience.

Extra Bonus: School children that come out for the fall programs may also stay after their scheduled field trip to play in the extra activities on the farm, and pick a free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch.

Picnic tables are available for your school lunch period. Both outdoor and indoor restrooms are ADA accessible.

Spookley Program for Younger School ChildrenSpookley Book
